All Change!

Wella-Huh! After around 6-7 years of producing and DJing under the moniker of Silas Greenback to low to moderate success (I got a few gigs in Brighton and London supporting some very fine DJ's at Jungle and Breaks nights, which considering I was playing some tough tech-house/fidget at the time was amusing) I've decided to plonk everything under the shiny new Toy Voyagers name. There appeared to be a glut of other Silas Greenback's about (a lot using Baron SG) and I felt that it was getting a bit played out.

Of course now all the cached links in Google show as dead so no-one can find out about any of the amazing new stuff I've been doing or listen to anything I've produced! Rubbish.

So over the next few weeks I'll be updating and hammering home the new place to feed your need.

Old Skool 4 Hour Megashow from the Greenback Archives...

Well, I've today announced my retirement from NSB Radio and to commemorate my 4 years with the station I'll be uploading some of my old shows for your amusement.
The first up is a 4 hour marathon session that I did one Saturday evening for Brighton's Slackers Convention and my timeslot partner Amore. What do I sound like?

I've been producing electronic music at home since the mid 90's. I caught the bug at school where our music teacher introduced the class to the joys of the Atari ST and MIDI keyboards. I bought my own Atari when I began working full time and never looked back, producing tune after tune first in a house and trance style and then in a more breaks orientated vibe.

By the time I could afford a PC in 2001, Propellerheads had created the spectacular Reason DAW and I never looked back. A whole world of new techniques and styles were open to me and its gotten to the stage now where I am even considering sending some of my stuff to some labels....

But the proof of any pudding is in the eating and the proof of a tune is in the listening so heres some of my work.....

Global Rhythms Vol 1 - Laid Back

Rhythm (from Greek ῥυθμός – rhythmos, "any measured flow or movement, symmetry") is the variation of the length and accentuation of a series of sounds or other events.

My latest mix takes in some of the grooves from around the world from Brazilian to Afro-cuban and with a dearth of percussion inbetween. Hope you like it. Drop me some feedback!
